What are the NZ Sea Charts? This module is only available for Tumonz 6 and provides 118 NZ Sea Charts as scanned images imbedded into the Tumonz map. Multiple charts can be viewed at once, and the module includes a handy mapbook which makes it easy to select the charts and view associated information about the charts (e.g. Permanent and Temporary Notices to Marines for each chart). Most charts cover more than one seperate area (often at different scales) - the NZ Marine Chart module has each area seperately imbedded into the correct spacial position on the Tumonz map. More important information on the NZ Sea Charts The chart images provided do not replace the New Zealand official nautical charts corrected for Notices to Mariners and are not designed to meet the requirements of marine navigation. In the interests of good seamanship and safety of navigation, all craft navigating in New Zealand waters should purchase official New Zealand nautical charts for their intended voyage from a chart retailer.
