Select Map Styles/Layers (1) and choose the Aerial Photos style you are interested in (2). If the aerial photos are not showing it is possible that the dataset is not downloaded – select Content Manager from the Tools menu (3) and in the Content Manager Installation Detail view (4) find the aerial photo data module and check whether it is installed. Press the Install button if available (5).
The module may take a few minutes to download depending on the dataset size and your connection speed. You can monitor progress in the Installation Summary view.
Once the module is downloaded it will ask for permission to install it – at this point you will need to close Tumonz (if it is open) before the new data files can be installed. Tumonz will restart automatically.
The aerial photos will now show every time you select the associated map style.
You can repeat the same process for any aerial photo module you are interested in. The default installation does not install any aerial photo modules since they waste a lot of disk space if they are never used.
In this example the High Detail imagery for Palmerston North was downloaded, and subsequently it is possible to view the whole town in high resolution.
